Smooth, stable, predictable, quick enough, and autos great. All the money I've wasted on expensive models that turned out to be disappointing in one way, or another, and a P6n turns out to be just about what I've been looking for all along, and not even fantastic for the money, just fantastic!

600-class sport model – build either version, supplied 2-axis mechanical gyro, or FBL.

What a ‘great’ helicopter. It took less than a half tank of fuel to trim and adjust - the setups in the manual are that close, good job! Mostly it was tuning the engine, and except for a couple of turns on the pitch links to track the blades, nothing else was changed. Absolutely NO vibration anywhere on the machine. In fact the whole heli is ‘rock’ solid and flies very similar to my XCell 60 Pro II. Loops are very easy to control both in shape and speed, while rolls were very axial. In idle up, I can do a very pretty slow roll. I got to try an auto before I was ready when from a 30 ft hover I hit the ‘hold’ switch by accident! She came down very easy, with plenty of control. In fact, I overreacted and she went back up about 5 ft and then bounced down on the gear - but there was no damage. I probably couldn’t have saved a 30-size heli . . . this is a tough little bird and I am having a LOT of fun with it. Thanks!

I'm not doing anything crazy so I outfitted my P6 Classic with the DS270DLHV on cyclic, DS90DLHV on throttle, and a DS135BLHV on the tail along with the recommended Futaba GY470 gyro because it works with the flybar and is inexpensive. I'm glad I got it because it's a lot simpler to adjust than an FBL gyro. I also saved money getting a ProMuffler for my OS MAX 55 instead of the really expensive OS muffler and the engine is still running strong after two years and over 170 flights! I'm on my 2nd set of the stock plastic tail rotor blades (got the carbon fiber stinger to protect them during autos) and I upgraded from woodies to cheap FRP rotor blades. Other upgrades I'm glad I got include the tiny flanged bearings for the elevator linkage, the air filter for the engine, and the orange fuel shutoff. I also got the carbon tail boom (mostly because it looks cool). This machine is well engineered,, easy to build, and has been easy to maintain. It's been a WORKHORSE and it's survived MANY botched autos. If you're looking for a helicopter you just fuel-and-fly, over and over again, this is the helicopter for you. I'm giving it 5 stars!

After much thought and deliberation I went with Audacity Models. All I can say is I'm extremely impressed with the offering and quality of the kit and am completely satisfied with what I have purchased. I think that this model will be a winner with pilots that are looking for something in the 600 category. Thanks again.

Been flying almost every day. I have just started to get into 3D flying, and this model makes it very easy as well as it makes me look like a great pilot. I went to a recent fun fly with my heli and got a chance to show off what a beginner can do with the right equipment.

I'd never flown a helicopter other than RealFlight so yes you can know nothing and within a month be flying this machine with NO ONE else's help. I must add however that it will scare you to death the first time it leaves the ground for real, these things aren't toys!

I knew buying it was a good move because it's inexpensive and parts are dirt cheap! The bearings are big, the clutch and bell housing are big - it’s just a great ship - and the full collective climb outs are sick and a lot of fun!”

Hope you are well your heli is flying great and I am so impressed with it as it has taken me from novice to now flying eights. The build quality and price are excellent. I bought my Pantera three years ago and it has taken me from novice through both Hovering Comp exam and SAA solo bronze. The only damage it has had was (due to a boom strike, done by a silly mistake flying into the sun on training) one set of Blades and a tail boom. It's very stable, and very forgiving and a joy to fly. If you're thinking of a new Pantera P6, as the proof of the pudding, I've got three years of weekend flying and no parts being used yet!

What a great heli, it's EXCELLENT. Hovering is almost hands off, tracking in forward flight is on rails. I'm spreading the word and can not say enough good things, but GREAT JOB! This Pantera is one nice heli. I have glad I made this choice. Thank you!

I have never allowed any company to quote me because I feel this could give the impression that I'm aligned with certain products and I've always want to maintain my independence in reporting. However, now that I've retired from writing for the magazines, you may quote me; What I like best about my Pantera P6 is; it's so tough you can beat it like a rented mule!

I wanted to drop you a line to let you know just how tough my helicopter is. So there I was buzzing around the field, doing well and suddenly the engine didn’t sound right. It was losing power. I immediately pointed her back to me and hit throttle hold just as the engine died. She was about 50’ at this point but I didn’t have the headspeed (probably because I hesitated to hit throttle hold and was trying to gain altitude instead) and she fell flat on the skids, slightly nose down. As I picked it up I realized I had forgotten to re-connect the pressure line after re-fueling. The bird was intact except for the landing gear struts had broken in 5 places effectively absorbing the shock. I also broke one ball at the main blade grip and one push rod end at the other main blade grip. Everything else was intact. The Pantera is truly a flying tank!

I can fly anything I want but the Pantera is my favorite for rolling circles and shooting autos.

Just wanted to let you know my Pantera helicopter flies excellent! It is smooth as silk, tracking is spot on, the ProMuffler makes excellent power. Overall, I can't find anything wrong at all with this helicopter. You have a very satisfied customer.

I have at least 300+ flights and counting and the only thing I've replaced due to wear is a tail rotor pitch slider because itwore almost right through it. I love my Pantera P6 so much that it is the only nitro heli I fly EVERYDAY out of my fleet of 10 brands and models. I am a very satisfied customer.

Just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know how happy I am with my Pantera. I'm very happy with her flight qualities - she just sits there in the hover, calm and collected. And accelerates really well when I punch the cyclic. Very, very happy pilot here!

Flying helis makes me a better fixed-wing pilot because it keeps my fingers nimble. My Pantera handles great, is simple to maintain, and has proven to be tough, which means I don't worry about the inevitable. Why a plastic-fantastic vs carbon fiber model? It's a tool. I'm at the top of my game so I don't have to impress anyone!

Great model. I'm a sport aerobatics flyer. Working on the hard 3D. I've made time this year to advance my flying skills, plus I fly with some great guys, Jason Krause being one of them when he's not busy.

My vote for the "tank" heli would have to definitely be the Pantera P6 from Audacity Models because of the rugged polymer plastic frames and GREAT long-term parts support because I still get parts for my 0 50 from him, which was discontinued 14 years ago, and every part is still available.

This is a great sport flier and when you turn down the throws it becomes a very stable training platform ideal for novice pilots learning to hover and advance into forward flight. The large 700 size canopy with its bright stickers enhances its visibility in the sky. By turning up the head speed and increasing the servo throws turns the P6 into a real fun model that’s capable of 3D maneuvers.

What should you know beforehand about a Pantera? It's inexpensive and tough as an anvil. It's stable and utterly predictable in forward flight with absolutely no bad habits. Adjust the head for max stability (for learning to hover), then later (without another penny), readjust for aerobatics and kick it up from mild to wild!

I’m just a general flier, don’t have quick enough hands for 3D but after more than ten years, my Pantera is still flying. It has held up extremely well and is built like a tank. I’m hoping to fly it at a heli event in Nevada this year (never been to one so it’s on my bucket list). Locally, very few even know about the Pantera so I’m the odd one out when I go to the field, which isn’t often since I live on 40 acres vs the 50min drive.

These helis are a real good and stable in a hover, so new people to the 600-size heli can get more comfortable with it, but the heli is no stranger to 3D. You really did a good job on the Pantera. Very good all-round heli. I also installed the ProPipe on the Pantera today, more power!

Started flying helicopters recently and this is the only way to go for a beginner with limited funds. It's very very robust and solidly built, and with far fewer little plastic bits to get broken or to continually check for wear or failure. Perfect for a beginner to use and abuse. I wish you much future success.

Finally got the engine broken in and leaned out and the Pantera rocks! Set the governor to 2000rpm and this thing rolls faster than anything I’ve flown (servo arms at 20mm from center) and I'm using +/-11° and I am very happy.

Just wanted to again let you know how happy I am with my helicopter. I was looking for something "solid" and dependable and I am very impressed with the tough construction and that it does not weigh any more than most 600 class out there. However, I plowed in the Pantera doing inverted hurricanes (again) today. It hit hard. The guys at the field expected to see a shattered heli when we got out to it. I'm happy to report no frame or head damage. Boom, skids, blades, a few lost links but that's it. Any other heli I own would have been totaled. Gotta love this super plastic!!!

Just a quick note to let you know how happy I am with my new Pantera! I have struggled with building and flying almost every other heli without a whole lot of success. For the first time since I started this hobby a year ago I feel like I am really getting the hang of it! The Pantera is always my first choice and usually the only one I don't crash. Unfortunately, after putting 50 size floats on my Pantera, I had an incident but you were also right on the money when you told me how the Pantera is the stout machine! Only wish I'd known about the Pantera when I started a year ago! Keep up the good work and THANK YOU for all you help, both over the phone and in the manual.

I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with my Pantera model helicopter. I've been flying model helis since the GMP days and wanted to say that this is by far been the easiest model to assemble and fly straight from a kit. I followed the instructions to the letter and the result was a model heli that lifted off without any need for further tweaking. The blade tracking was dead on and the model performed flawlessly for me. That in it-self is a testament to the straightforward layout and design of your product. It's been flying for 5 years now without any maintenance! Keep up the good work!

In short, the story is you don't have to throw a ton of money at the sport to have fun, and the Pantera flies well enough to be worthwhile.
