Pantera P6

If cheap and easy's not your cup of tea, keep shopping!

For just $300, over 50,000 pilots have gotten into RC helis with one of our models! Nitro or electric, you get easy self-aligning, snap-together frames (perfect alignment with no prior experience). The cherry on top? Quick and easy setup because linkages make 90° at neutral.

How does it fly?

"I plowed in the Pantera doing inverted hurricanes (again). It hit hard. When we got to it, the guys expected to see a shattered heli. I'm happy to report no frame or head damage. Boom, skids, blades, a few lost links but that's it. Any other heli I own would have been totaled. Gotta love this super plastic!"

"Flying helis makes me a better fixed-wing pilot because it keeps my fingers nimble. My Pantera handles great, is simple to maintain, and has proven to be tough, which means I don't worry about the inevitable. Why a plastic-fantastic vs carbon fiber model? It's a tool. I'm at the top of my game so I don't have to impress anyone!"

"What should you know beforehand about a Pantera? It's inexpensive and tough as an anvil. It's stable and utterly predictable in forward flight with absolutely no bad habits. Adjust the gyro for max stability (for learning to hover), then later (without another penny), readjust for aerobatics and kick it up from mild to wild!"

Hi, I'm John Beech and my first attempt at helis ended in failure. Fifteen years later, after the usual (motorcycles, cars, girls, college, marriage and family), I got the itch again. As the only heli guy in a model airplane club, I was on my own but eventually, I succeeded. Point being, if you’re waking with helis on the brain, guess what? I'd do it all over again because helicopters are as much fun as you imagine!

So as an engineer, I viewed the process of 'how-to succeed', professionally. Believing it needed to go together without experience, and be straightforward to set up, I doodled ideas before approaching an injection molding manufacturer for help. We birth our first model in 2004, took until 2009 to nail it. And ever since? Like Porsche riffing on the iconic 911, we've focused on iterative improvements.

What you get is big enough to handle wind, smooth and predictable in forward flight, and especially important, super easy to hover. It goes together in a snap, is simple to set up, and rugged to withstand abuse. We've guided pilots into the sport for more than two decades, we're good at it, and we'll help you succeed, also!

Cheers,

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

Build like a pro

With self-aligning male and female guides, side frames snap together like LEGOs for perfect alignment without experience!

Low parts count

Integrating mounts for struts, cooling shroud, tank, engine, and servos directly into 2 molded frames is why it's quick to build!

Respecting time

We pre-assemble the main rotor head for you, which is yet another time saver making your build just that must easier!

Eliminate tedium

Not only a bit of a messy job, but you only get one shot at properly adhering the clutch liner, so we did it for you!

Electric power

Tailored for how you fly via economical 450KV/12S, 520KV/10S, 630KV/8S, or 720KV/6S motors.

Tail bits done

Opening a bag to find the fiddly bits like tail rotor hub, grips, plus bearings, pulley, pitch lever, and pitch links pre-assembled is nice!

Avionics Packages

What’s required to complete my model?

Completing a 600-class build (any model, any brand) calls for propulsion and avionics. Propulsion being the engine and muffler, and avionics being servos, gyro, receiver, battery, and switch.

We're not a hobby shop so we don't offer engines, but do have 3 exhaust system alternatives. And where the market offers dozens of gyros, we only offer one we've judged both pretty good 'and' reasonably priced (some cost more than the helicopter itself). But where our bench is deep are servos, so we've curated packages by skill versus budget. Finally, we offer a choice of two flight packs (capacities), an on/off switch, plus polymer versus alloy servo-arms!

Note; we could choose to bite our tongue and let you discover these necessary nit-noids later – after making the sale. Or, we can remind you (at the risk of scaring you off). Since we're not about hiding what you're letting yourself in for, we hope you appreciate the opportunity to save on shipping by getting what you need in one box.

Further . . .

Is an avionics package compulsary?

Nope, the choice is entirely yours so while these are great avionics packages (for ours, or any 600-class model), we're not about forcing anything and it's always your call. Point being, we'll be delighted having you as a customer – on your terms – whether it's just a helicopter, helicopter plus avionics, or avionics and nothing else!

Pantera P6

Savvy approach!

With a phenom on his hands, a fellow name of Ray Stacy didn't build his 9 y/o kid a pricey practice machine. He built a beater that wouldn't hold him back and would be easy to fix. Before Kyle became a household name, he made his bones flying a Pantera. For those not made of money, this remains a savvy approach.

Pantera P6

Proven performance.
Unbeatable value.

We introduced our P6 with a simple premise; if cheap and easy isn't for you, then keep looking. The whole idea is about fun and zero-stress. How? By reducing complexity, adding ruggedness, and delivering honest value.

  • Easy Assembly & Setup: Snap-together, self-aligning side frames means quick building, and straightforward setup makes readying it for flight easy.
  • Durable & Tough: molded of fiber-reinforced engineering-polymer (as used for a 9mm Glock) results in an airframe, which tends to bend, flex, and bounce instead of shatter when abused.
  • Low cost: and yes . . . $300 is a great deal.
